
Anti-Streptococcus Group B (Strep-B)
Group B streptococcus is a bacteria commonly carried without symptom or disease. It is a risk factor during pregnancy and birth to the infant, causing symptoms ranging from fever to sepsis, meningitis and even death. Women are tested prior to delivery to determine if prophylactic antibiotic treatment is warranted.
