Albumin is a protein that is characterized by its solubility in
water, as distinct from globulin, which is insoluble or only partially
soluble in water. Albumin is the major protein component of human
serum. Albumin is the major contributor to colloidal osmotic pressure
of plasma. In addition, it binds and transports many metallic ions,
drugs, metabolites, and hormones.
Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein, also known as orosomucoid, is a member
of the alpha-globulin family of proteins found in human serum. It
binds many basic drugs and some hormones. It modifies platelet adhesive
capacity and may have immunoregulatory functions.
Apo A1 - Polyclonal antiserum to Human Apo A1 Protein. Solutions The product can be used in a variety of immunoassays, including Turbidimetry, Nepholometry, RID, EAI,Ouchterlony, and Immunohistology.
Description:
Goat Anti-human Apo A1
Product Code:
S1141G000-S4
Goat Anti-human Apo B
Antibody Type: Polyclonal (Raw sera/Delipidated sera/ IgG form, Affinity purified antibody)
Immunogen: Purified Human LDL (lipoprotein B)
Product Applications: Immunoassay
Availability:Immediate (mL to Liter scale, Multi-year supply contracts)
Human serum based reagent with defined values for relevant analytes. The
levels of the analyts are known and a serial dilution of the Calibrator
is used to generate a standard curve from which the sample values are
derived for each of the analytes.
Ceruloplasmin is an acute phase protein and a transport protein.
The blue-colored glycoprotein belongs to the α2-globulin
electrophoretic fraction and contains eight copper atoms per molecule.
C3 is made by immunizing the host (goat) with purified Human C3; antiserum is defibrinated and delipidated, monospecificity is tested by IEP versus normal plasma and 2x concentrated human serum. Immunoturbidimetric reactivity is determined on Hitachi 911.
C3 can be customized to various automated immunoassay platforms. Factors such as detection limit, sensitivity, linearity, and antigen excess (prozone) can be adjusted and controlled.
C4: Polyclonal antiserum to Human C4 Protein. Goat Anti Human C4.
Haptoglobin is made by immunizing the host (goat) with purified Human Haptoglobin; antiserum is defibrinated and delipidated, monospecificity is tested by IEP versus normal plasma and 2x concentrated human serum. Immunoturbidimetric reactivity is determined on Hitachi 911.
Haptoglobin can be customized to various automated immunoassay platforms. Factors such as detection limit, sensitivity, linearity, and antigen excess (prozone) can be adjusted and controlled.
IgA accounts for 13% of the total immunoglobulins and serves to
protect the skin and mucosa against microorganisms. It is capable of
binding toxins and in combination with lysozyme develops antibacterial
and antiviral activity. IgA is the predominant immunoglobulin in body
secretions, such as colostrums, saliva and sweat. Secretory IgA
provides defense against local infections and is important in binding
food antigens in the gut. In serum, IgA exists in monomeric, dimeric
and trimeric forms, whereas in bodily secretions it exists exclusively
in dimeric form.
IgG molecules are monomers composed of two light chains (kappa
and lambda) and two gamma heavy chains. Approximately 80% of serum
immunoglobulins is IgG; its main task lies in defense against
microorganisms, direct neutralization of toxins and induction of
complement fixation. IgG is the only immunoglobulin that can cross the
placental barrier and provide passive immune protection for the fetus
and newborn. This protection gradually catabolizes until the infant’s
own immune system begins to function at about six months of age.
IgM consists of 10 heavy µ-chains and 10 kapa chains or lambda
type light chains which are always identical within a molecule. There
is also a J chain linking all the µ-chains together, so that simply
speaking, IgM has a pentameric structure when compared to that of IgG.
IgM is the largest immunoglobulin molecule (MW= 900,000), but makes up
only 6% of the plasma immunoglobulins.
Strep A polyclonal antibody B9032RA01-A0 is specific for
Streptococcus pyogenes Group A is available from Strategic Diagnostics
Inc. This polyclonal antibody is suitable for use in a variety of
immunoassay formats including lateral flow devices (LFD) and
agglutination assays. The antibody can be used in Point-of Care tests
and in automated clinical analyzers.
Troponin monoclonal antibody #B9085MA06-MA:
- is specific to the N-terminus of human cardiac troponin I (HcTnI).
- recognizes amino acids 24-40 of HcTnI.
- recognizes the free form of HcTnI and the complexed form of HcTnI.
- does not cross react with skeletal troponin, troponin C or troponin T.
