Listeria Results in Truly 24 Hours

SDIX's RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T.
RapidChek® Listeria F.A.S.T.™
SDIX would like to announce the launch of our latest AOAC approved method, the RapidChek® Listeria F.A.S.T.™ test system. Fast. Accurate. Sensitive. Technology.
With the changing practices of moving toward a "test-and-hold" policy, it becomes ever more important to obtain faster test results in order to release product into commerce faster. Holding product is a huge cost for processing companies and also reduces the shelf-life of the product.
SDIX has developed a highly accurate, true 24-hour test for processors looking to detect Listeria species in environmental samples within a shortened amount of time. SDIX RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. allows processors to move from the costly “test-and-hold” to “test-and-sold” by reducing time-to-result while still maintaining high accuracy.
FAST.
The RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. test system delivers results in 24 hours. The other AOAC certified 24-hour methods, while promoted as "24-hour" tests, require 2-5 hours of additional analysis time after enrichment to obtain results. RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. results are obtained within 15 minutes after enrichment.
ACCURATE.
The RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. system was validated for the detection of 50 strains of Listeria and 35 non-Listeria strains. All 50 Listeria strains were detected be the method (100% sensitivity). Only one out of the 35 non-Listeria strains tested resulted in a very light line positive (97% specificity). When running a side-by-side method comparison against the USDA-FSIS's 48-hour cultural method, RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. demonstrated equivalent performance against the reference method.
SENSITIVE.
The RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. test system detects all six species of Listeria for a complete solution for environmental monitoring. Missing a single species of Listeria in your environmental monitoring program is denying you important information about potential growth niches and possible contamination areas.
TECHNOLOGY.
SDIX's world-class detection device is based on advanced immunoassay technology that is used in several health-related diagnostics worldwide. SDIX, one of the largest and most trusted producers of antibodies in the U.S., produces its own antibodies that are exclusive to the RapidChek test systems. This in only part of the story; the unique, proprietary media allows for better resuscitation of stressed or injured cells and better selectivity against non-target organisms both leading to overall faster and more accurate results.
RapidChek Listeria F.A.S.T. is now AOAC approved for environmental samples.
