Polyclonal Antibody Development

SDIX offers of developing polyclonal antibodies:

Use SDIX antigen design  and production services or provide your own antigen to generate polyclonal antibodies utilizing SDIX’s custom production services .

SDIX can design and produce your peptide or protein.  SDIX offers peptide design, synthesis and conjugation services or utilize SDIX proprietary Genomic Antibody Technology  to design your protein antigen.

Once your antigen is delivered to our custom antibody production facility our custom production services will provide you with the best options to fit your antibody requirements, our services include;

Antibodies from Peptide or Proteins

This traditional approach to immunization is used when the peptide or protein antigen already exists.

  • Project starts within 5 business days
  • 8 different species to select from
  • SDIX’s proven immunization protocols or your preferred custom protocol
  • 24/7 web based access for your project status
  • Maximum antisera yields utilizing best practices available
  • Customized labeling, vialing and sampling options
  • Laboratory services including conjugation, ELISA screening, IgY Isolation, protein A & G and affinity purifications

Genomic Antibody™ Polyclonal Development

Using this proprietary technology, immunization for the development of polyclonal antibodies can begin when the sequence of the protein antigen is known.

  • You may have determined the sequence in your laboratory or you may have taken the sequence from public sources. The physical peptide or protein antigen is not required.
  • You provide only the protein sequence information of the protein antigen.
  • We build a plasmid containing sequence information from your protein and transfer the plasmid into the host animals.
  • The immunogen is expressed in vivo where it is immediately recognized by the immune system.
  • Immune sera are evaluated by SDIX using protein we express in the laboratory.

We offer polyclonal antibodies from many different species . Polyclonal antibodies may be delivered as serum. Polyclonal antibodies may be purified from serum when your application requires an antibody preparation with higher specific activity.

SDIX maintains all necessary laboratory animal registrations and accreditations with these organizations: AAALAC, USDA, PHS/NIH/OLAW, DEA, APHIS.

SDIX conjugates peptides to carrier proteins since peptides will not elicit an antibody response without conjugation. The binding activity of your polyclonal antibody products can be tested in our laboratories.

The progress of your polyclonal projects can be tracked using STAR.  STAR gives you live, web-based, secure access to the status of your projects.

Antigen Design

Did you know that choosing the right antigen for your antibody can increase the chance of success? At SDIX, we take the time to understand how you'll be using your antibody.

We take the time to understand your problem and work with you to develop the best antibody possible. How? We call it, "Specificity by Design."

Peptide Antibodies

SDIX offers the following peptide antibody packages:
Two Peptide Antibody Package
Two Peptide Affinity Purified Antibody Package
Single Peptide Antibody Package
Phospho Peptide Antibody Package

Species and Protocol

SDIX offers a variety of species for antibody development.  Choosing which species to use could have an impact on if the antibody is successful.  Our scientists work with you to ensure all of the right questions and decisions are made for the best chance of success.

Genomic Antibody Technology for Polyclonal Antibodies

Genomic Antibody Technology™ (GAT)  offers numerous advantages to your antibody development. We create and use DNA antigens so that you do not need to supply protein or peptide material. Large regions of the target protein are selected allowing for multiple folded epitopes, and allows you to still target regions of interest. This translates into the generation of antibodies with a high and broad success across different immunoassay formats such as sandwich immunoassays and flow cytometry.
