Immunofluorescence :: IF :: GAT Data Gallery
Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were generated using GAT from a single design for more than 100 worm and fly protein targets for the modENCODE program. The resulting antibodies were evaluated by immunofluoresence. The specificity of the antibodies was tested either by RNAi knock down and/or by tissue specific expression. High success rates were seen with GAT antibodies in immunofluorescence.
An antibody raised to a centrosomal protein (one per chromosome) was used to stain a chromosome squash from flies. Since flies have 6 chromosomes only 6 spots were expected (red). DNA was stained with DAPI (blue).
