Rapid Tests for Seed, Grain and Feed
The need for traceability of exported grains from planting in the field to food processing points has increased testing demand in grains and crops. In addition, legislation in the EU and other parts of the world requires the labeling of foods and feeds made with genetically modified ingredients (GMO's).
As transgenic seed varieties are marketed alongside conventional seed varieties, testing methods to determine the presence or absence of genetic traits are becoming more critical.
SDIX offers both lateral flow test strip and microwell ELISA plate test formats to meet the grain and seed testing demands for breeders, seed and grain producers and consumers.
- Grain GMO
- Seed GMO
- GMO ELISA
- Feed Assurance
- Mycotoxins
TraitChek® lateral flow strip tests allows rapid testing of grains at elevators and terminals. SDIX tests give visual results in 3 to 5 minutes, expediting grain processing.
GMOChek® - Genetically Modified Ingredients ELISA microwell plate tests determine GMO content in processed food fractions such as corn flour and soybean meal in order to comply with regulations governing the labeling of foodstuffs containing GMO ingredients.
SeedChek® lateral flow strip tests and ELISA plates are used to rapidly test seed lots for quality control requirements and leaf tissue in the field.
MycoChek™ lateral flow test strips for aflatoxin and DON require no
laboratory equipment and meet U.S. regulatory testing levels. The
simple screening tests provide qualitative results in 5 minutes.
MycoChek™ 10 minute microwell plate tests perform quantitative analysis of
aflatoxin, fumonisin and vomitoxin.
FeedChek™ is a simple, highly sensitive lateral flow test for the detection of meat and bone meal in animal feeds. With a 15 second extraction process and a ten minute assay time, FeedChek™ provides fast results.
