Francis M. DiNuzzo, President and CEO, joined the Company in February 2008 as Executive Vice President Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer. In June 2008 he became the interim CEO. SDI appointed Mr. DiNuzzo President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2008. Prior to joining SDI, Mr. DiNuzzo spent 26 years at Agilent Technologies / Hewlett Packard. He began his career in research and development in 1981 and advanced through a series of functional management roles over the next 18 years. In 1999, Mr. DiNuzzo became General Manager of Agilent’s Chemical Solutions Business Unit where he had global responsibility for analytical equipment, consumables and service products serving the chemical, environmental, food and forensics markets. In 2001, Mr. DiNuzzo became General Manager of the Consumable and Services Business Unit, with global responsibility for all consumables and services across all Life Science and Chemical Analysis markets. In 2004, Mr. DiNuzzo became Vice President and General Manager of the Integrated Biology Solutions unit, a role where he formed a biotechnology business focused on Genomics, Proteomics and BioInformatics. Mr. DiNuzzo holds B.S and M.S. degrees in Engineering with a minor in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Kevin J. Bratton joined SDI in June 2009 as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bratton was most recently Senior Vice President Business Operations for EUSA Pharma (USA), Inc. in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Mr. Bratton had been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cytogen Corporation in Princeton, New Jersey prior to its acquisition by EUSA Pharma, Inc. in May 2008. Mr. Bratton has over 35 years of experience in all phases of multi-national financial operations across the healthcare, biotechnology and technology industries, including developing strategic plans and annual budgets as well as financing negotiations and merger & acquisition transactions. Prior to joining Cytogen, Mr. Bratton was Chief Financial Officer at Metrologic Instruments, Inc., a global technology company, where he directed the company's finance operations during a period of significant growth in sales, net income, cash flow from operations, and working capital. Previously, Mr. Bratton worked at The JPM Company, where he served as chief financial officer and as director of external reporting. Prior to joining JPM, Mr. Bratton worked for more than 20 years in the healthcare sector. He was vice president of finance and treasurer for the biotechnology company IGI, Inc., and corporate controller for the specialty medical company Delmed, Inc. Mr. Bratton began his career with the public accounting firm Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche LLP). He has a bachelor of science in business and accounting from Northeastern University. Monette Greenway joined SDI in January 2009 as Vice President, Marketing and Sales. Ms. Greenway was most recently employed as President of the Integrative Technologies Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world’s largest provider of scientific tools and equipment. Ms. Greenway has over twenty years of progressive leadership experience in the Life Sciences industry. During her tenure with Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ms. Greenway led a global division created to generate powerful workflow solutions leveraging the division competencies and those of the newly expanded company. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ms. Greenway held Vice President and General Manager roles at Invitrogen Corporation, a global Life Sciences organization. Ms. Greenway also held a variety of progressively responsible positions at Life Technologies prior to its acquisition by Invitrogen. Ms. Greenway holds a B.S. in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from McMaster University in Ontario. James W. Stave joined SDI in March 1991 as a research group leader. Subsequently, Dr. Stave was promoted to director of Research and Development. In October 1993, Dr. Stave was promoted to Vice President - Research and Development. Prior to joining SDI, Dr. Stave worked for DuPont, Molecular Genetics, Inc. and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Dr. Stave received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and his B.S. in Biology from Michigan Technological University. Deborah Day Barbara joined the Company in October 2008 as Vice President, Business Development. Ms. Barbara has over 20 years of experience in the areas of business development, licensing, intellectual property management, strategic planning and technology development. She was most recently Vice President of Business Development and Licensing for Ore Pharmaceuticals in Gaithersburg, Maryland. While at Ore Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Barbara led drug evaluation partnership negotiations with several prominent pharmaceutical companies, resulting in valuable business relationships and a pipeline of clinical stage drug candidates. Immediately prior to joining Ore Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Barbara was Senior Director of Business and Technology Development for Johns Hopkins University, where she was responsible for developing and negotiating numerous technology licensing, research collaboration and technology development agreements. She also spent 11 years at Amersham Life Sciences in a variety of sales leadership positions. Ms Barbara holds a MBA from Loyola College and a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland. Darlene Pence joined SDI in July 2009 as Vice President, Human Resources. Ms. Pence was most recently head of global HR for the nonwoven business unit at the DuPont Company. Prior to joining DuPont, she spent over 11 years at W.L. Gore & Associates, with the last four years as global HR leader. Ms. Pence brings over 15 years of experience in executive leadership roles. Ms. Pence holds a B.S. in Human Resources from the University of Delaware and an M.S. in Human Resource Management from Widener University. |
